About David
David Blake is a jazz guitarist and composer based in Brooklyn, originally from Vancouver, Canada. His recordings include Radio Casual (Cellar Music, 2026), Trio with Drew Gress and Ari Hoenig (Independent, 2023), and Fun House (Cellar Music, 2022).
David has also taught at New York University and the VSO School of Music. He holds a Master of Music from NYU.
Touring with the quartet
The David Blake Quartet performs my original music with guitar, piano, double bass, and drums. Radio Casual features Dabin Ryu, Warren Louie, and Jonas Esser, and I aim to bring that band on the road whenever possible. Substitutes may be needed depending on availability; the lineup will be confirmed for each engagement.
